Our grandfather immigrated from Czechoslovakia when he was a boy, and his family settled in Hopkins. He worked at the Minneapolis Moline plant until 1922 when he decided to start plumbing. He worked out of his garage on 6th Ave. South.
After WWII our dad (Henry) and his brother (Roger) took it over. They built the building we are in as it stands today. In 1978 they opened "The Plumbery". A store for the do-it-yourselfer. The store dropped the plumbery name but has continued serving both the public and other tradesmen. Henry and Roger have been retired for some time now and are still doing well.
Continuing the tradition is my brother Larry and myself (Paul). We are both blessed with all daughters so we will see what happens from here on. We are the 2nd longest standing family owned business in town. The dry cleaners, owned by the Mashek family, have us by a couple of years.
We look forward to hearing from you. Send us an email, give us a call phone call, or just stop in. See you then. Thank you again.
